Designing For The Next Generation

Kragelj Architects designed the new office spaces for NGEN, a technology-driven company focused on innovation, digitization, and decarbonization.

Our design responds directly to their mission, creating a workspace that is dynamic, inspiring, and purpose-built for innovation.

From the moment you step inside, the space signals movement, ambition, and change. A curving green slide spirals through a shared atrium, connecting people and ideas. It’s unexpected. It’s fun. And it reflects the kind of mindset NGEN brings to its mission: serious about results, but unafraid to rethink how we get there.

Soft textures, clean lines, and natural elements create a calm backdrop. A living moss wall behind the reception desk doesn’t just say “welcome”, it says “we walk the talk.” The entire office is infused with subtle cues that reinforce NGEN’s identity as a tech company deeply rooted in sustainability.

Designed to Work Like They Do

Every element of the layout was crafted to mirror how NGEN works:

Open breakout zones for fast-paced collaboration

Quiet corners and meeting rooms for focused problem-solving

Writable surfaces and idea walls for on-the-fly innovation

Transparency and flow, with glass partitions and open sightlines to foster trust and speed

Collaborative zones, for informal meetings and spontaneous teamwork

Focus areas with acoustic control for deep work

Green branding elements, including a living moss wall that reinforces NGEN’s identity and values

What powers innovation isn’t just technology, it’s people. That’s why the design prioritizes comfort, flexibility, and well-being.

Natural light, greenery, warm woods, and soft seating bring a sense of ease, even when the work is complex. It’s a space that feels good to be in—because a team solving big problems deserves a place that supports them fully.
