House Koper

SLOVENIA

Set quietly into the hilly terrain of Slovenia’s coastal landscape, this new home is a modern homage to place and tradition, a balance between contemporary living and the heritage of the Mediterranean.

The sloped site posed a challenge, the solution?

A three-tiered design. Entry begins at the lowest level and ascends to the main living quarters at the top, delivering the best panoramic views of the natural landscape, and a second entry.

As every coastal home should, the house opens to the outdoors. A swimming pool, outdoor kitchen, and sunken fire pit invite effortless summer living. Spaces made for gathering, relaxing, and long evenings under the stars with family and friends.

The facade draws inspiration from traditional coastal architecture. Cast concrete walls are inlaid with stone, creating a textured rugged surface. Soft, sun-bleached tones give way to the surrounding greenery, allowing the landscape to come to emphasis.

Stepping inside, the atmosphere is calm, light pours through large windows, animating the interior throughout the day. The high ceilings and material palette, natural oak, muted whites and warm stone feel both refined and personal. Even circulation zones, stairwells and corridors are treated with the same attention, ensuring a seamless experience throughout the home.
