Alenka Kragelj Eržen

Alenka founded her own architecture firm immediately after graduating as an architect in Ljubljana, and soon realized that the traditional process of planning, designing and construction is often fragmented and ineffective. Over the years, she developed the skills to engage with all levels of stakeholders of a workplace and construction project, and to identify and uncover hidden issues and potential through conversations and research.

Alenka has studied in depth how to better organize work, including Integrated Project Delivery methods, and today she plays a key role in managing and executing workplace transformation projects from the exploration phase through to change management and completion.

Alenka understands how the built environment influences employee and business performance, and employs a range of research and design methodologies to develop tailored workspace design solutions that promote productivity, collaboration, and a dynamic, inclusive culture.

She passionately advocates for the idea of putting people in the center of workspace design. Alenka Kragelj Eržen is a regular speaker at industry conferences, and has authored a large number of articles on architecture, interior design and workplace design strategies.

She regularly receives invitations to present her experience at conferences and business meetings and is a co-founder of the business conference Workplace Design, which is organized by the company Kragelj arhitekti every year. Alenka is the author of numerous articles on architecture, interior design and workplace design strategies.
