Your role

As a Senior Workplace Designer at Kragelj Architects, you bring clarity, creativity, and direction to our most impactful projects. You fuse strategic insight with design excellence to craft meaningful, future-ready workspaces. Your responsibilities

In this role, you will set the vision and lead the design process, inspiring and challenging project teams to deliver exceptional, forward-thinking solutions that align with client needs and reflect the latest innovations in workplace design. You will work hand-in-hand with multidisciplinary teams and studio leadership to champion design integrity and nurture innovation. In addition, you will play a key role in the studio’s business development efforts, helping to grow client relationships and identify new opportunities for creative impact.

 

What you will do

  • Collaborate on workplace strategy, architecture, and interior design projects that include consulting, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and space planning,
  • Coordinate with interior designers, architects, workplace consultants, and project managers to deliver project milestones,
  • Provide project team coordination for finishing plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction,
  • Provide design support and documentation during the completion and execution of design concepts,
  • Work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, consultants, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives,
  • Assist in managing client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to teammates as needed.

 

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Interior Architecture from an accredited program,
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience in architecture and workplace change projects, ideally inclusive of all phases through construction administration,
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, SketchUp, AutoCAD or Archicad, 3D and other modeling software programs,
  • Strong knowledge of the design process, including FF+E, furniture systems and specifications, color, and materials,
  • Outstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideas,
  • Flexibility to focus on current projects in various stages of development,
  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly,
  • A quick learner with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment,
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, and relationship management skills.
